Today the winter temperatures make us nostalgic for the summer rides. That's why we are going to talk about an English spider: the McLaren 650S.
When we talk about the McLaren brand, we think about the luxurious and sporty sides of the car. We also remember the fabulous McLaren F1 which was one of the fastest cars in the world at the end of the XX century, or the P1, a nugget of the XXI century.

In the world of motorsports, the competition is enormous, the race for crazy speeds and insane performance persists and no manufacturer gives up. Nowadays, it is also the aesthetics and aerodynamics that make cars stand out, both on the track and at weekend gatherings.

It is in at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show that this British supercar is presented to the general public. This 650S is presented in coupe and spider versions. This new model of the British manufacturer is placed between the McLaren P1 and the McLaren MP4-12C (which it preserves the engine).

There is no need to say, the car is successful, it is really beautiful, the English elegance does not go unnoticed. It has doors in elytra, and it's very classy! The model illustrating the article was present at the Beaucroissant meeting (the GDD) and offers a just sublime color!

On the engine side, this 650S is powered by a 3.8L V8 twin-turbo engine with 641 hp (dowsizing is a must... but not that bad in terms of performance: Ferrari understood this and used this technology on its 488 GTB). This engine works wonderfully: the 0 to 100 km/h is dispatched in 2.9s (8.4s are enough to make the 0 to 200 km/h), and a maximum speed measured at 333 km/h! Did you fall in love? It's enough to make you go crazy.

A weight of 1240 kg allows the 641 ponies to gallop without too much difficulty! Carbon fiber was initially an option, but it is gradually becoming standard equipment, making the car stiffer and lighter. I'm not even talking about the extreme versions of the 650S for which carbon fiber has no secret, high level on the track!

Like the English supercars, the aesthetics and the engine are not enough, it is necessary that the comfort is also there. Once again, McLaren has brilliantly met this challenge by offering a really beautiful and comfortable interior. The class on a spider.

The price is around 260,000 euros when new (without options) but if you are in love with the car illustrated in this article, it is on sale for 160,000 euros at Concept Sport Automobile Grenoble.
