If there is one supercar that everyone dreams of buying, it is the McLaren 720S. This is the jewel that the C&P team has chosen to present to you first in the supercar/hypercar category.

It was at the 87th edition of the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 that this McLaren model was presented. The idea of the British manufacturer was to replace the 650S by a model reaching at least the performance of the 675LT with more versatility. It must be said that the path taken by the British manufacturer is impressive. McLaren in a few figures, it is 3200 cars sold in 2016!

Let's talk about performance, as its name suggests, it has a 4.0L V8 of 720 hp under the hood! That is 70 hp more than the 650S but with 18kg less. This is probably due to the fact that the body is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. It also has an indirect injection, but with two injectors per cylinder... and yes, V8's drink!

We're talking about the double inlet turbocharger. The 720S offers a torque of 770Nm at 5500 rpm, and 720 hp at 7500 rpm! Note that the V8 used on the 720S is 3 kg lighter than the 650S. It does 0-100 km/h in only 2.9s, consumes 10.7L/100km in mixed driving, and has a top speed of 341 km/h.

The 720S is also a technological jewel, although not very useful if you know how to drive on a circuit: in particular the "Variable Drift Control" which allows to regulate the slip of the driving wheels, but also the "proactive chassis control" to manage the damping and the rolls. McLaren's approach has been to reduce the mass of the car as much as possible, so much so that they asked B&W to design the lightest audio system produced for cars. This makes a mass of 1419 kg for 720 hp or 2kg per horse!

On the inside, the dashboard is very clean, with the colored stitches showing through. Not to mention the half elytra half butterfly doors which are really incredibly well designed: the shape of their opening allows anyone to grab the top of the windshield to slide into the seats. The practicality of the two trunks, 150L in the front and 210L in the back, makes this a great car for two people to go on vacation. Take advantage of the fact that gas prices have never been so low...

A supercar with bewitching performances, and embodying a futuristic technology. It is priced at 249,275 € and is no match for the Ferrari 488 pista and the Lamborghini Aventador SV! A test drive has been realized by Turbo.
